Should I do the assessment on my own?
Although it is called a self-assessment we always recommend that you actually complete it with your team or some interested parties. The reason for this is that you can be too critical or not critical enough so you need another perspective(s).
How long should it take?
The assessment shouldn’t take more than 60 minutes to complete.
Is this a maturity score?
No, a maturity audit or assessment is much more complete. This tool which is designed to give you a benchmark of current performance, and help you to identify areas of opportunity.
Why do I need to add my own sections?
You don’t need to, as the tool will work with our standard performance areas. We have identified what we believe aligns with best practice, but as we know, every PMO is different, so you may need to add some items that either require testing or are simply unique to you.
